Wedding calligraphy is a fantastic way to add really unique wedding details and inspire your overall theme. Name tags, Table Name Cards, Wedding invitation envelopes, Rustic wedding signs, Wedding favours, Wedding Centrepieces, the list is endless! But where to look for inspiration?..
I get inspiration from so many places for my wedding stationery designs. The wonderful thing about dried flowers and calligraphy is they combine the artistic lettering with soft and natural materials of flowers and leaves to the hard and sharp of shells and slate.
Ribbon, Lace, handmade paper all combine so well with calligraphy and can create something totally different and meaningful to you. If you love it then lets try and use it!
When you are at a wedding fair or going wedding dress shopping inspiration can be right in front of you as you are looking for it, but sometimes a little detail in a book, shop window, flower bed or when out for a walk can spark an idea. Not necessarily to use that exact thing, but to alter it and create something totally new that you have dreamt up.
These are the best ideas (I think!) as your imagination has run away with you and you are dreaming of what it will be like. I find these day dreams can often spiral into a whole scheme to tie your wedding colour scheme or wedding theme together.
If you find something you love and think it would be great with some kind of writing on it, then Poppy and Pipkin can help you create what you are dreaming of. Whether it be an antique vase or jar, log slice or coaster, meaningful text, I love to work with you to create that day you have been dreaming of and calligraphy can do that!
Remember...little details can spiral into big wedding dreams, so go and indulge your day dream, its such fun!
Dream big :)
And see where it takes you .....
